Shantawene Buncho is a processing station located adjacent to Gatta Farm and a breathtaking waterfall. The coffee is grown and harvested at Daye Bensa Exports’ farm Shantawene — named after the village where the majority of the people who work on the farm, many of them women, are from — as well as from “out-growers” (or smallholders) in three neighboring villages: Shantawene, Karamo and Bombe. In total, 940 farmers in Sidama contribute to this coffee.
